A premium, hand-built 27.5" Downhill MTB rear wheel engineered for demanding downhill riding. Featuring a Downhill-specific heavy-duty 6069-T6 aluminium alloy rim with 30% thicker alloy construction, premium Taiwan sealed cartridge bearings hub, and 32x DT Swiss Champion 2.0 stainless steel spokes, this wheel delivers exceptional strength, stiffness and durability for serious downhill use.

DT Swiss Champion Spokes: The DT Swiss Champion spoke is a classic all-rounder for everyday use, offering DT Swiss quality and reliability. Made from X5 stainless steel, containing chrome for rust resistance and nickel for strength. The rolling of the nipple thread removes no metal from the spoke and preserves the grain of the material, maximising strength and greatly reducing the likelihood of failure at the threads.

Each spoke is carefully tensioned to ensure even and consistent tension across the entire wheel, creating a strong, stable and reliable wheel designed for long-term performance, durability and reliability.

During the build process, each wheel is stress-relieved several times to help the spokes settle correctly. We also carefully check the dishing to ensure the rim is correctly positioned and centred over the hub.

We use quality rims, spokes and hubs, which are carefully sourced and selected for durability and reliability. Depending on the model, we use components from trusted brands such as DT Swiss, Pillar and Shimano.
