WHY 4D drilling technology?
With standard wheels, the traditional drilling holes are vertical angle holes, the assembly holes and spokes holes are completely perpendicular to the rim center point. This process is more convenient for machining and proofreading, with high production efficiency. But when assembly the wheel group, the disadvantage is coming. Because the flange hole and spokes holes always have a 5 degrees angles in both longitudinal and radial directions, so the connection between spoke and spoke cap will always have a bend and can never be in a straight line. If the tension is a little high, the spokes has a higher chance of breaking when riding.
With the 4D technology drilling, the drilling angle is slightly inclined. According to the pulling angle of each spoke, it is in the longitudinal and radial direction, each offset is about 5 degrees, so that it is in line with the angle of the flange to ensure the nipples and spokes to form a straight line as much as possible, thus fundamentally solving the problem with spokes angle which massively reduces the chance of spokes breaking.
