Great Product

I did not want to spend over £100 for my generic bike, this really hit the nail on the head. I cover 10 miles a day and have no complaints. I bought with a 7 speed cassette that is just as fantastic. This was fitted to my 2021 Trek Marlin 5 Large. Arrived within 3 days. I was unsure what wheel would be best, I asked the team and they advised within the hour. Great customer service, quality product and fantastic price.

So far so good

The checkout/shopping cart has a lot to be desired and is not at all reassuring when you're spending the best part of £100 on a wheel. However, the wheel runs true, appears to be well built and surprisingly light. I'm only using it on the road at the moment, but will be going XC soon.

Good wheel

I was dubious at first as shopping around I couldn't find many wheels under £100 and I'd never heard of mad speed wheels before.

The overall build looks good, all parts are anodised black with a good finish, the hub uses cartridge bearings so it's possible to service them and they should resist dirt better.

The free hub is quite a bit noisier than the standard specialised hub I replaced on my rockhopper but not horrendous.

So far I haven't lost any spoke tension and the wheel is very true with around 100 miles of riding (I weigh 75kgs and regularly use paniers for shopping so maybe upto 90kgs total)

Very pleased with my replacement wheel. Having the option of a disc and cassette is very good. Fantastic value for the money. The wheel and hubs looks great quality and much stronger than my original. Will definitely buy from again in the future.
